1 Day in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

This safari takes you to see home of Ugandan Rhinos. The war years along with Poaching destroyed most Rhinos in Uganda. Rhinos are hunted for their horns. The horns are made into handles for daggers and swords in places such as Yemen and ground into medicine in China.
Ziwa Rhino sanctuary is protected by 24hour security and a solar powered electrical fence. On arrival at the site and before we track, an informative presentation will be given explaining the background, aims and objectives of the Sanctuary as well as interesting facts about Rhinos  residing on Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
After a morning breakfast, meet our staff for briefing. Embark on the journey passing through famous Luwero triangle arriving at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in time. Start tracking Rhinos at the site and expect to see other animals like vervet monkey, Bushbuck, Crocodiles, hippos and huge variety of bird species among many others.
Have lunch while relaxing at the site. In the evening drive back to Kampala.
