Day 1: Kampala – Murchison Falls National park
After breakfast, depart for Murchison National park, the biggest national park in Uganda with an area of 3840sqkm.The River Nile divides the park into North and South sectors and forms a Falls where it flows over the western rift valley escarpment. On the way you will have a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola, here you will learn a lot about rhinos in general and gain further knowledge on this project as well. Have a lunch and then drive to the park with a game drive tol visit the top of the falls; here the Nile waters fall down through a narrow gap, creating a glorious view of the falls from the top. Proceed on, for the overnight.
Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park Game Drives, Boat Ride
Explore and wonder the park that the natural beauty of the Nile is perfected. You will come across herds of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, and several bird species also the unusual saddle bill storks. Be back in time for your lunch. In the afternoon take a 3 hour launch cruise to the bottom of the falls you will come across pools of hippos, be meters away from the toothsome crocodile with his jaws wide open and lots of game coming down to the Nile for the afternoon refreshing. Later get back to Lodge.
Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park– Queen Elizabeth National park
Morning departure with the first ferry crossing, leave Murchison falls national park and transfer through Villages and proceed through Hoima. A picnic lunch will be served along the way as you continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is an all day drive and you arrive in time for a short evening game drive looking for Giant Forest Hog, Bushbuck, Leopard and Night jars. Proceed to Mweya Safari Lodge arriving for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: At Queen Elizabeth National Park
The morning safari of Queen Elizabeth park starts from the channel track and heads out through the Kabatoro gate. You will proceed to the northern parts of the 2000square Kilometer park, where areas of the Uganda Kobs breed. It is here that Lions do most of the hunting in the early mornings.Hyenas can be seen rising out of their dens to follow the hunting Lions while the vultures on trees would signal a nearby sighting of a pride. You may also spot elephant, the occasional solitary Cape buffalo as well as other species of game. Return to the Mweya safari lodge to have breakfast and spend the mid morning relaxing by poolside and bar. After lunch, the boat ride aboard the luxurious pontoon starts from the Jetty on the kazinga Channel and will be exploring several game viewing points. It is possible to see Lion, Cape Buffalo, Herds of Elephant, Hippos, Monitor Lizards, Uganda Kobs and hundreds of migrating and breeding birds that escape the harsh weather from Europe. Dinner would be served at the Lodge before dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast we will head for Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s fourth National park was gazetted in 1982.The Park covers an area surface of 256kmq. Have a game drive as you enter the park and have a chance to see impalas,elands,topi and many antelopes,buffaloes,Zebras not forgetting the varied scenic beauty hills and valleys.
Day 6: Lake Mburo National Park – Entebbe
After breakfast, have a game drive as you leave the park and drive to Entebbe with a stop over at the equator and the royal drum makers, thereafter proceed to the Airport for your flight back home.
