Day One : Kampala – Lake Mburo National Park
Our safari guide will pick you from your hotel and depart to Lake Mburo National Park. The journey takes approximately 3-4 hours. Lake Mburo is one of Uganda’s smaller national parks extending over 260 Km of undulating territory. Have a stopover at the Equator for photography, and at Royal Drum makers to see the ceremonial drums of the Buganda Kingdom. We will have lunch Enroute. Proceed to Lake Mburo National Park. The drive will give you the chance to view different animals in the park. These include Zebras, Oribis, Defassa waterbucks, Bohor reedbuck, impalas, elands and other ungulates. There are also bird viewing opportunities with a number of birds such as African fin foot, papyrus bush shrike. After we check into our overnight accommodation we will take an evening game drive.
Day Two : Morning Game Drive in Lake Mburo National Park
We take a morning game drive to catch up with the early risers. We will return to the lodge for breakfast. A ranger guide takes you for a nature walk to the Salt Lick Area which is a strategically located wooden platform (Observation point). You will have the chance to see at least four different species of animals at any one point while they lick the salty soil. Lake Mburo is the only place in this part of Uganda where you can see zebras and Impalas licking salt. It’s also the best place to see the African Eland, Africa’s largest antelope! After we have lunch we will visit the Nkokonjeru tombs belonging to the last two Kings of Ankole kingdom and later go farm tourism adventure at the local people’s farms to see the Ankole long horned cattle. Return for dinner and overnight.
Day Three : Return for Kampala
After breakfast return to Kampala arriving in the early afternoon.
